For trotting fillies & mares with 1 to 2 wins for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1. See special condition No.6
For 4 yrs & older pacers with 1 win for lifetime. This race is for Junior Drivers only. Rating Penalty Free Race.
For up to & including R65 4yo-&-older pacing mares. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1.
For 3yo pacing colts & geldings with up to 1 win for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1.
For R39 to R44 3yo-&-older pacers. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating numbering sequentially from 1. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For R35 to R45 4 yrs & older pacers. Also R35 to R45 3yo fillies. Also R41 to R45 3yo colts & geldings. This race will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. The winner of the middle race will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The stake for the lowest rating race will be $10,000.
  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win, or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Gore HRC meeting to be held on Sunday 15th February 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Gore HRC, Wyndham HRC, Winton HRC, Northern Southland TC, Oamaru HRC, Invercargill; HRC and Forbury Park TC) in the period from 15th February 2026 through to 15th March 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Bureau Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 19th March at the Wyndham HRC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap. Only one Gold Chip Final can be won.

  7. SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES


    1. Open to all 4 year and older mares up to rating R65 as at 1st January 2026. 2. The heats will be Preferential Barrier Draw based on winning stakes numbering sequentially from 1. 3. To be eligible to start in the final any mare must have started in a heat of the series. 4. Where a mare is accepted for a heat and that heat is cancelled the mare will be eligible for the final at the discretion of the bureau's balloting committee which hosts the final. 5. A horse winning two heats will be ineligible to start in any further heats. 6. Mares will earn points in the heats as follows: 1st - 10 points, 2nd - 5 points, 3rd - 3 points, 4th - 1 point. 7. A minimum of 6 horses will be required for a heat to be run. The highest points scorers in the heats will be selected to start in the final - a maximum of 13 starters - mares with equal points will be selected at the discretion of the bureau. Mares selected to start in the final will not be eligible to start in other races on the day of the final.
